Description of service
I received five services from my emergency dental service: an Examination, X-rays, Novocain, immediate tooth extraction, and pain medication. I received all these services for $90.00 bucks, not $90.00 each but $90.00 for everything. The itemized prices for the services I received can run you anywhere from $20.00 to $200.00. An examination can cost from $20.00 up to $100.00. It cost anywhere from $50.00 to $75.00 for a regular x-ray. Next, tooth extractions cost anywhere from $100.00 - $150.00. Novocain is expensive, and then you have to pay the physician for his or her services. For a person without any major problems you will end up paying on average from $270.00 -$525.00.
Review of Service
The quality of services I received where outstanding from check-in to my after care. What I feel was really good about the service was how fast I was serviced, and the doctors and nurses were patient and understanding. One thing I did not like about my service was the Novocain needle hurt, but the pain was worth the result. I received all my services for only $90.00 dollars and you just cannot beat that price for emergency services. $90.00 is a good deal for quality emergency dental services.
Tips
The main purpose of the emergency dental room is to serve patients with severe pain or those patients who have been in an accident. A minor toothache is not considered a dental emergency; therefore, you will not be seen at the dental emergency room. The dentist is correct, preventative care is the best medicine, proper brushing, flossing, using mouthwash, and a healthy diet and lifestyle will go a long way to healthy teeth and gums. Check out your local department of health and hygiene, they have low cost and sliding scale fee dentist for those who cannot afford dental care and again the best medicine is preventative care.
