Description of service
I got my eyebrows threaded at a place that does all things eyebrows, including tinting, sculpting, waxing, tweezing, threading, shaping, and other types of hair removal.
Review of Service
I had never heard of eyebrow threading before until I went to the salon and was looking to have my brows waxed. I have sensitive, dry skin, and while I enjoy the look the effect of waxing typically has, I don't like the other effects--red, scabby, irritated skin because of the chemicals and temperature of the wax, as well as the pulling of my skin as it is waxed. When the aesthetician suggested threading, I was all for it. The result was the same as waxing or tweezing, but it was gentle on my skin, with no pulling off of the top layer of skin which often happens during other means of hair removal. The eyebrows were beautifully arched and sculpted, and I immediately looked five years younger. Results lasted about three weeks, and I am very excited about having this done again, if I can find a salon closer to home to do it!
Tips
Ask salons in your area if they offer eyebrow threading as an alternative to waxing. It costs about the same, and is less abrasive for sensitive skin, or for people taking different types of acne medication.
