Description of service
The place I went to get my eyebrows threaded was located in a mall. It looked just like a regular hair or nail salon, with salon chairs and a receptionist. Since I didn't have an appointment, I gave my name to the receptionist and sat down to wait in their waiting area. After about five minutes, my stylist called me in. She asked me about how I wanted my eyebrows shaped and how thick or thin they should be. We had a little difficulty communicating because she didn't speak english very well, but we eventually agreed. The threading itself was painful, but was also very quick. After I checked my eyebrows in a mirror and asked for a few touch ups, I paid the receptionist ($9) and gave my stylist her tip ($2).
Review of Service
I feel like the quality of service I received was very high. Even though the stylist and I were working through a language barrier, I still walked out with pretty eyebrows that I am now able to maintain myself. For $11 total, that's an amazing deal.
Tips
If you are thinking about getting your eyebrows threaded, i highly recommend that you make a trip just for that. It was a spur of the moment idea for me, and I still had shopping left to do after I had them done. My eyebrows were very red where they'd been threaded and I received a few stares and weird looks. I also recommend taking Advil or Tylenol before if you're sensitive, to help dull the pain.
