Description of service
My fifteen year old recently had two teeth extracted, so that he can have braces put on his teeth in the coming months. In total, the extraction for the two teeth cost $535. Two of his teeth were impacted, so he had to go to an oral surgeon. The total of $535 included payment to the dentist, anesthesia, as well for pre and post-operative visits to the oral surgeon.
Review of Service
In all, the tooth extraction went really well. It was one of the best that I've seen performed. My child did not complain very much after the procedure. He experienced minimal pain during and after the tooth extraction. The doctor was very courteous and professional. It was more costly than other oral surgeons, but it was really worth it because the procedure went so well. The procedure lasted about an hour and a half, including the time in the waiting room.
Tips
I would really research a number of oral surgeons in your area. The one that my child visited was capable of performing general anesthesia in the office. It really made the surgery a lot easier for him. I think it's a good thing to look into for your child, especially if you're someone who has had bad dental experiences in the past.
