Description of service
This is the price we recently paid for my son's pediatric tooth extraction. He actually had three teeth pulled that were causing his mouth to be very crowded. The total price was $660, which is about $220 per tooth. The price included all fees associated with the procedure including anesthesia (localized and gas) and the actual removal of the teeth. Luckily, our insurance covered the majority of the expense and we only had to pay twenty percent. The extraction took about thirty minutes.
Review of Service
A pediatric tooth extraction can be a bit traumatizing to a child. However, the oral surgeon we went to was excellent and made our son feel very comfortable. We did have to go for a consultation about two weeks before the actual procedure took place. The nurses and staff were all friendly, helpful, and definitely worked together to make our child feel safe in an unfamiliar situation. The cost was reasonable and comparable to most other oral surgeons in our area. The recovery time was short; the next day he was almost back to normal although he did experience some slight pain.
Tips
In most cases, your pediatric dentist will offer a recommendation for a pediatric oral surgeon to perform the tooth extraction. We also researched these doctors online before deciding on our oral surgeon.
