the Price of a Divorce Lawyer

This was my first time ever having to deal with a lawyer and I was more scared then anything. I was able to find a lawyer who was a very nice and showed that he cared and was willing to help me get through my divorce. I paid a total of $950 and he did just about everything. He dealt with my ex husbands lawyer and his family and filling out the paper work so it was right and getting it filed by the due date. We went over everything that was bought during the marriage and both lawyers made it fair to each of us by splitting everything.

I was very happy with the service I got. My lawyer was there for me every time I needed to be in court and when it came time to get my belongings that was stated in the divorce agreement. My lawyer was one of the best I would have to say but this was my first time ever having to do this and hopefully my last.

Do make sure that the lawyer you choose is going to help you and not your ex. Be pacific with what you want out of the divorce. If you need a divorce lawyer ask around to see who family or friends suggest or check in your local phone book or online. Try to go to the lawyers office and see if they will do a consolation session with you. See what the lawyer feels you are in titled to and take it from there.
