Description of service
We had food for a graduation party delivered from a local store. We paid the cost of food and went over 75.00 so delivery was free. We paid 68.00 for 10 lbs of fried chicken wings and drum sticks, 34.00 for a meat and cheese tray, 24.00 for three vegetable and dip trays, 12.00 for a large hot mac and cheese, 9.00 for 3 dozen rolls, 14.00 for a large green salad and 36.00 for a sheet cake. Total- 197.00 just under my 200.00 budget!
Review of Service
The service was good. I went to the store and met with a party planner. She showed me photos of food and helped me decide how much of each item we would need. I had a budget to work with and she suggested how to stay in it and still have enough food for everyone. The cake came out really nice, it was well decorated. The food was good deli style food. The food was delivered on time and the hot food was hot, the cold food was cold. We did help carry in because the driver was alone, but I didn't mind that.
Tips
Go to a store where you already know the deli makes good food. Plan on trying anything you are thinking about ordering, so go to the meeting ready to eat. Don't feel like you have to order something just because they suggest it. Get what you know your guests will like. Get a number for the store manager, just in case your food does not arrive when it should (that happened to a friend of mine). Plan on supplying the condiments, napkins, plates etc. you can save a lot by shopping for them at a discount store rather than ordering them with the food.
