Description of service
The price included four hours of daytime weekend use, with driver, of a stretched 10 passenger Lincoln Continental.
The company also offers a variety of vehicles from chauffeured sedans, to stretched SUVs and 25 passenger mini-coaches. Services are predominantly charged by the hour rather than by the mile and vary by vehicle type, though a $45 airport pickup/drop-off, and the company offers special rates for special occasions such as weddings, funerals, or proms.
Review of Service
First off, the car was immaculate, well-appointed, and arrived precisely on time. There were no logos, stickers, or license plate surrounds identifying it as a hired car, which was unusual.
The driver was efficient, drove smoothly, knew the city -- or at least the parts where we wanted to get to -- and was trained in executive protection and evasive driving, which, while cool, we fortunately didn't end up needing.
I'd have to give them the best compliment I can give a service like this: I didn't even notice the car or driver around me and that allowed me a bit of extra time to get some much needed work done.
Tips
It's difficult to justify "needing" a limo. For special events like weddings or bachelor/bachelorette parties, or all-out bashes getting a limo may make it a bit more memorable, but it still is much more expensive than taking a cab or two. Sometimes, though, it's a bit cheaper and a lot easier to rent a coach for a day than try to coordinate shuttling a dozen people around in cabs. If you're just trying to make sure you get home when drunk, a limo is hardly necessary.
If the car is clean and the driver is prompt and polite and drives smoothly, recommend them to your friends. If the car is a mess or the driver is rude, sent the car back and find another company. There are plenty out there that want your business and will treat you right to get it.
One last thing: expect that a hired limo will have a mark on it somewhere with the company's contact information, but it should be discrete, even if the limo isn't.
