the Price of Limos for Special Events

We hired a limo to take us around for a special occasion, and the total cost was $200 that included the tip to the driver of $20. The price was $60 per hour with a three hour minimum, and all taxes and fees were included in the hourly rate. There was also a mileage limit of 150 miles, but we didn't go over that amount so there was no extra charge. We had six people in the limo - three couples - and we were picked at one house where we all gathered, and then we had the driver drive us around for about 30 minutes through downtown and some other interesting areas. He then took us to the restaurant where we were having dinner and waited for us, about 2 hours, and then took us around for a few more minutes before dropping us back at the original house.

We really liked the driver that we had because he had a good personality and wanted to make the night fun for all of us. We don't generally get to ride in limos so it was a special experience and we trusted the driver to help us enjoy the time. He knew the right streets to drive on for us to see interesting buildings or scenery and he made sure to help us manage our time so that we weren't rushed at the end of the evening. The price for the service was about the same at all of the companies that I called, and it was a fair rate for the time that we had the car.

Be sure to tell the limo company how many people and if anyone is bigger than average so that they can recommend the right size limo. Also don't be afraid to talk with the driver to tell him it's your first time in a limo and give him an idea of what you'd like to do. The drivers are mostly experienced and can help you make the night perfect.
