Description of service
I just signed up for my satellite service a few weeks ago. As a result, I have not received my first bill. But my satellite service is going to run me $44.95/month with DVR and the top 150 channels. This is SO much cheaper than my cable service - I was formally paying about $100/month.
Also, I was very glad that this company did not charge me for the satellite nor installation. They're also not charging me an installation fee.
Review of Service
I am very satisfied with my service. I was worried because I live in a wooded area, so I was nervous that my satellite would not pick up. I have had very little interference problems and an extremely great picture. My only complaint would be the limitations on my DVR - I would like to transfer it to my computer, like TiVo offers. I'm hoping that this is expanded in the near future, since my DVR box does have a USB/media option on the back.
Tips
I would suggest to check with not only the satellite company, but local retailers. Sometimes prices will differ. Also, if you're lucky like me, you may save money by bundling with your other services (telephone, internet).
