Description of service
Satellite service, with DVR, at 39.99 a month. This package includes all basic and digital channels, two hundred in all. The inital installation was free, although I did have to agree to an 18 month contract in which I agreed to stay with my service providor for a year and a half.
Review of Service
The service is good. People always tell me about service interuptions when it rains but I have yet to have that experience and it has rained several times where I live. The DVR service works perfectly as well. I can store up to 200 hours of programming. I also get over 200 stations to browse through. Some of the channels feel like filler channels as I will never watch the spanish news and sports channel. One thing that I don't like is that I don't get my local channels. I was told that there is a tree in the way of my local channels satellite, but the basic and expanded cable satellite is "just right". I have considered cancelling my service for this reason.
Tips
Don't agree to a contract. I know the equipment and service may cost a bit more, but at least you're not locked in with something you don't like.
