the Price of Satellite Cable TV with DVR

We just switched satellite TV providers and with the new provider we receive four room service, DVR in two rooms, and a channel package of about 200 or so channels for $55 a month. INcluded in that price is a 5.00 charge for an extra reciever, and each receiver covers two televisions, a 5.00 charge for DVR service, a 5.00 local channel charge, and a base package charge of 45.00. There is a normal installation fee of 49.00, but that can be waived with a signed contract.

So far, the customer service reps have been wonderful. They are very helpful with any questions we may have about the satellite. I really like the varity of channels we recieve, and the DVR option. The service we get is well worth the money. We also get three months worth of service for free, which I like a lot. I shopped around a lot and this was the best package I have found. The only thing that I did not like was the fact that I had to sign a 2-year contract to recieve the installation for free. This was a waived fee of 49.00.

The best advice that I have is to make sure you shop around. There are different providers, and each one has different options which may suit your individual needs. Also, pay close attention to any charges that you may incur once the promotional period is over, ask if there will be any additional fees or changes in pricing.
