the Price of Hip Hop Dance Lessons for Kids

We sent our daughter to hip hop dance lessons. They met once per week for 6 months, with a one month break during the holiday season. The cost of the classes was $275 for 6 months.

Our daughter is home schooled and doesn't have the opportunity to meet other kids regularly so we decided to sign her up for these hip hop dance classes. We thought it'd be a great way for her meet other kids, build her confidence and get some exercise as well. It definitely accomplished all of these things.

The classes started with very basic dance steps and the kids were given home work each week. This homework was printed up and given to the parents when we picked the kids up. This was great because we knew exactly what was expected of her. They also allowed us to come and watch the class for free anytime we wanted which was a lot of fun.

The only downside was that with this particular program there was no recital at the end of the 1/2 year. We would have liked to expose her to public performance.

These classes can be a great confidence booster and a great way to combat shyness in kids. If your kid is especially shy try to find a class that will allow you to sit in on the first few classes to put them at ease.
