Description of service
My son gets dropped off every morning, five days a week for 10 hours a day. The teachers there feed him, change his diapers, give him 2 bottles, and play with him among other things. They follow an infant and toddler cirriculum so that he is exposed to all kinds of interesting things each week. They offer him child appropriate toys and make sure that he is outside for an hour a day (weather permitting). They try and do things like arts and crafts as well as small/large motor skill workouts.
Review of Service
I am very happy with the daycare I have chosen. I think it is the most cost effective but also it's a very homey place. The teachers are very nice and the children love them. As a parent, it is hard to see my child taking to someone else as well as he does with me, but I like that he is comfortable in their presence. I think the teachers are a little young and only one of them has a child of thier own. That concerns me sometimes as I don't think they understand a parents worries. But they are very welcoming when I show up unannounced and I'm pleased with the progress my son has made since we started sending him there.
Tips
Make sure you stop in unannounced on a non regimental schedule. This will ensure that they really are who you think they are. It also gives you a birds eye look of how they treat other children when they aren't expecting you. Do your research and visit a few other places so that you have something to compare your ultimate choice too. Also make sure that you talk with them every day to see if there are any concerns, but also to express your own.
