the Price of Horseback Riding Lessons

I went with a friend for a horseback riding lesson. You got an hour to ride the horse in the corral, around different obstacles and in circles, and the teacher sort of called out instructions or gave suggestions as we rode.

We each got to brush the horse that we were going to ride and put the saddle on (with the direction of the woman who was leading us, of course), and then have an hour of riding. We had to stay in the corral but got to go in different directions and go over and around some obstacles.

It was really fun to ride these horses! An hour was actually a little long for me because I was getting a little stiff and sore but I did have fun and so did my friend. I wish we could have gone on a trail, but that would have just been a different experience. It was fun to go around the obstacles and see that I could actually control the horse. The horses were really sweet and eager to please also.

Make sure that the stable has helmets for you and any other safety equipment that you need. You should always wear long pants when you're riding horses, and boots are better than sneakers, but closed toes shoes are a must.
