Description of service
I found an advertisement for horse back riding lessons posted on the library bulletin board. One Saturday afternoon, I convinced my husband and my his brother to give it try. It costs $20.00 per person for a one hour group lesson.
Review of Service
According to flyer in the library, we were supposed to be getting horeback riding lessons. But, this was more like horse back riding for people who actually know how to ride a horse. When we arrived at the location, which was actually a house, a seventeen year old boy greeted us. When I discovered that he would be our "instructor", I wasn't sure that I wanted to take the lesson. My brother-n-law thought that it would be fun, so I decided to go for it. Because I was the only one that had never ridden a horse, the young man showed me how to get on the horse and told me how to get the horse to walk and stop. When everbody was ready, my horse would't move. The boy instructed me to tap the horse lightly with my leg, but I obviously didn't tap it correctly. The horse started running and I couldn't get it to slow down. The boy talked me through it and everything ended up ok. We continued with an a forty-five minute ride on trails behind the house. It was fun, but hardly qualifies as lessons.
Tips
I suggest that you get information about the lessons and the instructor before you take horse back riding lessons.
