the Price of a Hot Stone Massage

I just had my daughter a month previous to this massage and I was a little skeptical on how this would feel. I had never had a professional massage of any kind before and when I learned it was a hot rock massage, I was unsure to say the least. I assumed since I had a baby I could handle anything, right? Well when the first rock touched my skin it was a little shocking. It was a little hotter than I had thought but then the muscle started to go numb and I realized my muscles were losening up a lot. The massage therapist went very calmly and slowly knowing I just had a baby and made sure to ask every couple of minutes if I was okay or wanted to stop. She was very understanding and didn't rush into it.

I will say, the lady who massaged my back was very gentle and it was a wonderful experience. I got the massage for an hour and the whole time I felt as if I was in the middle of an island completely isolated. There were no distractions and she used scented oils that took me into another world. There was soothing music in the background and I felt as if I was just floating on a raft in the middle of the ocean. I was more relaxed than I had ever been.

If you are considering a hot rock massage I would say definately go for it! Just let the massage therapist know you had never gotten one before so they can let you know what to expect and how it will feel. Just remember to close your eyes and drift away into your peaceful place!
