Description of service
When we purchased a new stereo system I decided to have our house wired so that the audio would feed into all of the rooms and we could all enjoy the sound. I first thought I could do it myself, but quickly realized that I needed professional installation, so I got some estimates and hired a company to do the work for $860. The total price covered the cost of an initial visit for the estimate and then the time for two employees of about five hours to run wires to all of the rooms, connect and mount the speakers, and adjust everything so that the sound was right.
Review of Service
Overall, I am very satisfied with the service and we are enjoying the sound throughout our house right now. The employees really took their time to understand what I wanted and how I expected everything to look at the end, and they were careful as they ran the wires through the ceiling and displayed the speakers in each room. The sound quality is excellent and balanced very well, and the employees were professional and responsive to my placement requests. They did a good job in the main family room with the direction of the sound so that we get a true movie experience from our television, and music also sounds excellent. The price was fair for the amount of time for the two workers and for the result.
Tips
Be sure that you or someone with good audio perception stands in various locations to hear the sound and confirm that it is balanced and presented properly. It is far better to make sure the job is completed correctly the first time. Also, have a general idea of where you want the speakers placed before the installers arrive so that you can give them good direction and guidance.
