I bought a new stereo and full surround sound system for our living room. There was a special $40 installation sale.
Review of Service
It was clear that the man who did our installation was running very behind. He showed up an hour after the 4 hour window he was supposed to come up. I was a little annoyed that him nor anyone at his store felt the need to call and say he was running late.
When he did show up he did the installation very quickly. Too quickly, in fact. I'm not the best with technology, which is why I hired someone to install the system. Once he had it up and running he had me sign some things and left without explaining how to use it. I had to have my son come over a few days later and explain it to me. It was very frustrating because there were lots of different buttons and input / output options that I didn't understand. It even took my son quite awhile to figure out.
It was, however, set up well. Once I figured out how to use it.
Tips
Be sure you ask your installer to take the time to show you how to use it, even if they're irritated. You are paying for a service and should be able to take advantage of it.
