the Price of Daycare for One Child between 13 and 24 months

This is a day care center for children aged 6 weeks through kindergarten. The center opens at 7:30, and pick up is at 6:30. If you are late for pick up, the charge is $1.00 per minute late. The two directors are also the owners, and one of them is always on-site. Food is provided for children over three. The monthly tuition is $1080 for my 15 month old. At age three, the price drops to $980. The staff to student ratio is 3:1 for children under 3 years old. Each child has their own crib, and the center provides all linens and bibs. They offer Gymboree and Music classes for children over three years old.

The service at this center is exceptional. The average caretaker has been there for 10 years. This strong core group makes for a caring and loving environment. Communication is excellent. Each day, the parent is provided with a summary of the day's events, and phone calls are always welcome. The staff does everything possible to accomodate any special requests such as nap schedules, special food restrictions, or other requests. They play outside on the playground or go for walks in strollers, weather permitting. The day is structured for babies over 10 months, with daily reading, blocks, and music time. My toddler is always clean and happy when I pick her up.

It is very hard to find a good daycare. There are definately cheaper daycares in the area, but the peace of mind that ours gives us is invaluable. I don't mind writing that check each month because I feel that we are getting excellent service. My advice would be to look into your company's flexible spending plan to help save on the costs of daycare.
