Description of service
The service was daycare for my 2 year old son. After looking around for a babysitter for my son while my husband and I worked we decided on a woman who babysat in her home and had over 25 years experience and the proper certification. She charged a flat rate of $2 per hour and she was open for business from 6: 30am until 5:30pm Monday through friday. We had to provide diapers and baby wipes, she provided food and drink as long as it wasn't anything special. The babysitter allowed payments weekly, bi-monthly or monthly to fit any schedule.
Review of Service
The service was out standing. My husband and I never knew what our actual hours for work would be, sometimes we worked an 8 hour day and sometimes we worked 10-12 hours a day depending on what was demanded of us on a daily basis. Joyce (the babysitter) did not require us to call if we were not getting off at our scheduled times(as long as it fell with in her hours of service. It was wonderful, because of the fact that she charged a flat hourly rate and did not charge extra for more than 40 hours a week, like the bigger day care centers do.
Tips
My biggest tip for getting a babysitter for this particular age of child is to shop around. In home day care providers are only allowed to have a certain amount of children at particular ages so your child should get the appropriate attention. Also ask for references if looking to a home daycare provider. Also certified daycare providers have to follow certain rules and regulations so ask for certification also.
