the Price of Home Security Systems

This is the price we pay for a home security system. The fee is paid on a monthly basis and includes all costs associated with the security system except for the installation cost which was an extra $100. The security company we decided to go with is a nationwide company that is well known in most parts of the country. We have a one story home and the security sensors cover the front door, the back door, and all of the windows except for one which is very small and located high on a wall. The cost does include a security pad.

We love knowing that our security company will be notified if a break in ever occurs at our home. The technicians are very helpful and the alarm appears to be fairly dependable in terms of false alarms (we have only had one so far). The cost is definitely comparable to other alarm services in our area.

I would definitely get a few estimates before deciding on a security system. Also, be sure to check for referrals with friends and family. Try to find a company that is known for consistent and efficient monitoring as that is the most important aspect of your security system!
