Description of service
I had a procedure called Odoplasty, which was basically pinning back one of my ears that stuck out more than the other. The doctor stitched the ear and created a fold in it so it would not stick out as much and would match the other ear. I was put under general anesthesia during the procedure. I paid $2800.00 for the surgery and this fee included everything.
Review of Service
The quality of service was excellent. My doctor is a well known, experienced, board certified cosmetic surgeon and he has performed thousands of these procedures. He was a caring, professional doctor that put me at ease before the surgery. I think it was a great value for the price. My doctor has his own surgical suite which keeps the prices down. If the doctor does not have a surgical suite, you have to pay for use of the hospital and anesthesiologist separately and this can really add up.
Tips
I would tell anyone thinking of having this procedure, to really research your doctor. Ask family and friends if they have a doctor they like and also look for a board certified surgeon. You can find board certified surgeons online very easily.
I do wish I had known that the stiches in my ear could slip and would require me to come back to the doctors office to have them tightened up. I did not have to have another surgery, my doctor just tightened the stiches in the office, but it was not fun.
