Description of service
My smile has always been uneven and it really made me self conscious. I talked to many cosmetic surgeons and most of them said there was nothing they could do. But I was really determined to find a way to correct my smile, so I consulted with doctor after doctor until one of them thought he might be able to help. We determined that if a small section of my lip was removed or contoured, it might straighten my smile. My doctor thought it was funny that I wanted some of my lip removed when most women wanted volumne added to their lips to make them fuller. I just wanted a straight smile. It was an in office procedure and cost eight hundred fifty dollars.
Review of Service
My surgeon was great, he is board certified and very experienced. He was gentle and caring which is hard to find these days. The procedure was quick and relatively painless and since the incision was inside my mouth, you could not even tell I had anything done. Thinking about it now, I feel it was a bit expensive but worth it, I guess. My smile it a bit more straight but I'm still not thrilled with it.
Tips
Make sure you find a really good, board certified surgeon. Interview as many as it takes and ask family and friends for referrals.
I wish I had known that the procedure would not make that huge a difference in my smile before I spent eight hundred fifty dollars. Oh well, I guess you live and learn.
