Description of service
The service is a competitive online travel pricing site that deals in airline tickets and various other travel reservations including rental cars, train tickets, hotel reservations. I presume they either take a commission on each transaction or charge the travel businesses for participation as there was no explicit cost to consumers. I purchased on short notice one round-trip ticket to Oslo, Norway and reserved a hotel room for three nights.
Review of Service
I had to travel to Oslo for business "yesterday" so I resolved to pay exorbitant prices for my tickets. But they weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. Certainly not as good, though, as they would have been if I'd had a couple weeks notice for my travel plans. Seats were fine, food was better coming back than going out, and the hotel was entirely reasonable for the price. I'd use the service again.
Tips
Oslo in the middle of January is absurd. The sun rises at 9 in the morning and sets at 3 in the afternoon. Coming back from there, airline security is no easier than going through it in the US. Be sure to arrive the usual two hours early for your flight and be prepared for the same preposterous and invasive security checks as in the US, but with a Norwegian accent.
