Description of service
In May I took Salsa lessons at a studio in Miami Florida. The cost of the class was $65 for two people (a couple) for 5 weeks. The class was held once a week. This was a beginning level Salsa Class.
Review of Service
This was a very cheap price. Normally dance classes are much more expensive so I thought I was getting a good deal. The first class was very disorganized and the music player was acting up. The second class the instructor was 10 minutes late. Although it was a beginning class, I did not feel I learned very much in those five classes. We spent too much time learning "cuban action" which is a foot movement that helps the hips swing. While this may have been important, too much time was spent in the beginning on this cuban action so that the last two classes were very rushed. Next time I will pay a higher price.
Tips
Make sure you get to know your instructor and studio before signing on. Ask other students at the studio what they think. Also, be aware that you may be required to buy special character shoes for the class. If you are already bringing a partner, make sure he or she is fully committed to the class. You don't want to end up solo or worse, having to pay more for the class. (you can get a partner discount)
