Description of service
The service was hiring a neighborhood high school student to house-sit for us during our annual spring break vacation. The $20 represents a per-day fee for a 10-day period, so overall it really came out to $200. It was basic house-sitting including watering of our many plants.
Review of Service
We were happy. It was necessary to do this because of how many plants we have in and outside of the house that need daily attention. We are lucky to have high school aged kids in the neighborhoods from families that we trust to be able to get an affordable rate for something like this. All in all, we were happy- no complaints really.
Tips
My tip would be to find somebody you can trust. Giving access to your home is one of the highest levels of trust you can have, so it would be stupid to hire somebody that you don't know. Think of who you want around your house, and it is probably somebody from a close friend of the family of yours. Ask around the neighborhood to see who has a good reputation. If they messed up at a neighbors' house, you probably don't want to hire that kid for your house.
