Description of service
The shop we took our Honda CBR to specializes in body work, but they also do routine maintenance, tires, and other repairs, as well as custom paint and exhaust. We had the right faring replaced.
Review of Service
The service we received was exceptional. Generally the faring on the bikes has to be purchased in pairs for the right and left side. We were cut a break from the repair shop because they happened to have an extra right faring, so we didn't have to pay for the pair. The brake lever was also replaced because it was bent when the bike was laied down on the right side. The motorcycle was only in the shop for a day, and when we received it back, it was in pristine condition--the shop had cleaned every part of the bike which was visible, as well as some parts that weren't visible. They washed the bike and checked the tire pressure before sending us on our way. It was overall, the best experience at a repair shop we had ever had.
Tips
Call around to see if you are being charged catalog prices for parts. Also check on auction websites to see if you can find parts cheaper--most times you will be able to get parts dirt cheap on auction websites, and then bring the part to the repair shop. Generally, if you find a shop willing to do this, you will only be charged for labor, and while it may cost a bit more for labor than usual, you may get off easier than you think on your wallet!
