Review of Service
I called the company and requested an on site estimate. The contractor was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave me an estimate and I researched prices of vanities, sinks and hardware before I made my decision to use him. I had a very small budget that I needed to stick to. There was a 3 week wait before my repair could be worked into their schedule. About a week before the work was to begin, the contractor met me at a local home improvement store and we went through the store and he marked down the item numbers of the things I wanted for the bathroom, including switching out the knobs on the vanity I was buying. He thankfully realized that my 30 year old plumbing under the sink would have to be rerouted to accommodate a new sink. This was an additional charge but it had to be done because there was only one vanity that fit in my bathroom and was in my price range.
Hte job was done by the contractor himself and one other person. It was a 2-day job. The old vanity was removed and taken to the condo dumpster. Everything else that was being replaced was also removed from the premises. Drop cloths were put down to keep my carpeting clean. The last thing to be done was the floor. The contractor left me a jar of sealer to be applied to the floor after it was completely dry. I would use this company again because they did a very thorough job and didn't leave a mess. They were pleasant and did great work. I was home while the work was done, but could have trusted them to do the job while I was at work. I have a small pet and they were very friendly to it as well, which is always a bonus.
Tips
Always get at least 2 estimates. Make sure you use someone whose credentials are verifiable. In my case, I was able to go to the company website where photos of their work, customer reviews and even their licensing were readily viewable. Be sure you get a written estimate and remember there are no stupid questions. Ask about anything you do not understand.
