Description of service
I moved into a house that had a finished basement, but had one room (11x14) that could be an additional bedroom, unfinished. I decided to call a contractor to see how much it would cost to finish this room and make it a livable bedroom. I had 3 estimates and 1500 was the best estimate I received. The price included him bringing the sheetrock in along with building a closet and installing ceiling tiles, and he also installed the carpet I chose. The price was just for the labor, I was responsible for buying all the supplies except for the sheetrock.
Review of Service
He did a great job. One problem I have heard from many people is that these contractors tend to show up late and take an extra long time finishing projects. That was not the case with this guy. He told me that it would take one week and he was done in 4 days. Everyday, he informed me of the time he planned on being at the house the next day, and he was always there on time or even a bit early. The quality of his work was well worth the price.
Tips
When looking at a contractor, the most important thing is to make sure the person is responsible and trustworthy. Obviously you want to make sure that he is a competent contractor, but being a good worker really makes the difference in satisfying their customers.
