Description of service
There are several job placement services in my city, and none of them charge money to place you into temporary or full time jobs. They get paid by the employer who is seeking the employees. All you have to do is go to the agency and fill out an application and do a short interview.
Review of Service
These services are great for someone who needs a little extra cash, or who are looking to get their foot in the door. Many temps go on to work with a company full time, which can make getting a job much easier than it would be to have to fill out applications and do interviews for every potential employer. I've used these services in the past, as well, and have always been happy.
Tips
Be willing to comporomise on your hours or locations at first, until they get to know you. They will come to find you as a reasonable and cooperative person and therefore want to help you get more and/or better jobs. And when you're on assignment, treat the job as if it is your full time job. Don't slack off just because it is a temp job and you don't think you have to give your all. Giving your all will make you get better reviews and move up the job chain.
