Description of service
I needed a temporary employee in order to create a new filing system at my small business. I work at a small accounting firm and have been wanting to reorganize all of our pertinant file so they would be easier to find. I hired someone from a temp agency for about $10 per hour this got me an employee for two 40 hour weeks. The employee got $8 per hour and the agency got $2 per hour. It was a much more reasonable cost than I expected it to be. I felt like both the agency and young man both got paid fairly.
Review of Service
Every morning for two weeks our new temporary employee showed up at 9 and would work until 5. It was pretty standard hours for our normal employees. We instituted a new color coded filing system that would make it much easier to find our tax forms. I don't think there's any perfect filing system, but our temp did a great job of filing our new system.
Tips
These people that are hired temporarily are typically just out of college and desperate for work. So you don't have to pay them as well as a normal employee, but I would recommend you pay them as a entry level newly graduated employee would be paid. You will probably get a better job done. The agency recommends what you should pay, but in the end as long as you pay over minimum wage you will be fine.
