Description of service
I took a walking tour of one of Chicago's major league baseball team's stadiums. The tour lasted 90 minutes and cost $25.00 per ticket.
Review of Service
This was a great tour! We started out walking around the outside of the stadium, learning about the different parts of the stadium that were original to the park and which parts had been changed along the years. During this portion of the tour we also learned about various owners of the park and where the park got it's name on.
We then moved into the park and traveled through the stands, through the press box and down into both the vistor's and the home teams club houses. Our guides turned over this part of the tour to a gentleman who worked in the clubhouse and he gave us the inside scoop of the players. We then got to check out the dugouts and walk on the field a little, though on the dirt near the batter's box, we were not allowed on the grass.
Overall it was an exceptional tour. There were two guides through most of the tour so they had lots of different information to give us.
Tips
These kinds of walking tours can be a lot of fun. You should definitely keep in mind though that there will not only be a lot of walking but a lot of walking up and down stairs. It's not a good option for elderly folks.
