Review of Service
I thought the walking tours were fantastic. There were several options available for a walking tour of Chicago, some which included the Art tour in Chicago's Loop, others which showed off the new Millenium Park, and still others which showed off the Architecture, or Little Italy, or even Chinatown. I was born and raised in Chicago, but my husband and children had only visited, so it was perfect for them to get a chance to know and love the city the same way I do. The tour guide was energetic and knowledgeable, and the group was extremely small. We chose the Art tour in the Loop since it was a little shorter than some of the other ones, and gave us a little more breathing room with the kids. Plus, it was close to the train where we arrived downtown. It was a great tour, and I would love to go back and experience some of the other tours as well.
Tips
The cost is $20 per person, not per group. Be sure to bring cash only, and wear comfortable shoes. I wouldn't recommend doing any of the tours in the dead of summer or the dead of winter since Chicago weather can get extreme. Spring or fall is ideal. You can keep your own pace, so don't feel like you need to rush to the finish. Most of all, let the sights, sounds, and feel of the city sweep you off your feet. Also, be sure to bring some extra cash for a tip
