Description of service
A 30 minute pedicure treatment, including foot soak, polish removal, cuticle cutting and cleaning, buffing of soles-of-the-feet and heels, 7-minute foot massage, hot towel treatment and a color application (including base coat, two coats of color and a top coat).
Review of Service
Quality was very high. The pedicurist was very thorough, yet gentle. And gave a very focused massage, not just simple rubbing, but hitting pressure points and stretching muscles. There was a huge selection of colors, from various manufacturers, including some of the latest trends (blacks and browns, glitters, shimmers, etc). Also had a nice choice of massage lotion. The nail spa, itself, was a soothing environment, with large reclining chairs and an option of tea or water.
Tips
For me, a pedicure is a pampering thing. Therefore, it is important to understand what comes with the pedicure. Unlike a manicure, a simple nail cut and color change for the toes can be done at home. I pay extra for all of the trimmings and ask about them when I first make the appointment: "What, exactly, comes with the pedicure?" Near the end of the working day, or on weekends, the pedicurists have seen dozens of feet and are often tired and cramped from being hunched over. I've gotten my best experiences when I have gone for my pedicures in the middle of the work day -- and never on the weekends. (And I treat it like a trip to the doctor's office, if anyone inquires).
