Description of service
I had a spa pedicure which included a massage, and French pedicure. The payment was $25 for the service and a $5 tip. It was in a run of the mill, strip mall nail salon.
Review of Service
The service was great. They soak your feet in warm water that has oils in it, and jets for massage. They then trim you cuticles and slough off your calluses. Then they file and trim your toenails, and apply lotion, masks, exfoliators and other lovely things. Then the toes are cleared of any old polish and new is applied. I requested a french pedicure in which white is applied to the tips of the nails, and clear polish to the rest. They paint the strip on and make the line straight polish remover. Then they clear coat the whole thing.
Tips
Cleanliness is extremely important in this area. Inspect your salon and make sure they sanitize the tools between each user. If you are truly concerned about this, you can even take your own tools to the salon, but make sure to check that it's okay first. If you want to get this done with friends, this is fun, but make sure you make appointments so that they can accommodate you all at once.
