Description of service
The rehab was for addiction of alcohol, and it was a 5 month program, divided into three phases. This was a outpatient facility that provided one on one conseling and group conseling. I had a one on one session every week, and group depended on which phase you were in. Phase 1 lasted 1 month, and met 4 times a week. It was a introductory phase, and we basically watched movies, talked about our day, and did discussions. Phase 2 met 3 times a week, with more emphasis on group conseling, being given advice by peers, and discussion. Phase 3 met 2 times a week, with group discussion, peer comments, and more emphasis on dealing with addictions after rehab was completed.
Review of Service
The rehab taught me alot about addiction and the role it plays in your mind, and how to recognize that. Also taught me to recognize situations in which I may use again, and how to deal with that. Also, we had to go to AA or NA meetings, and have a sponsor before we could go to phase 3. I learned alot about addiction, and it has helped me tremendously.
Tips
Look around when considering a rehab. The pricier ones are not always the best. In my rehab AA was involved, so you may want to consider that as well.
