the Price of Drug Rehab

The costs I incurred were indirect costs paid by myself for an individual who required the use of rehabilitation from drug and alcohol abuse. The centre used was not a private center but was in part government assisted and part private donations. The entire cost for a 10 day inhouse treatment was $200. mostly to cover the cost of transportation to outside meetings and study books.

The service was intense as far as changing life style techniques and constant exposure to methods designed to help this. Perhaps the shortfall was in no individual counselling, which in this particular case was required to try and determine why it happened and why it was continuing. All counsellors were recovering alcoholics and/or drug abusers, so they were able to relate to all clients. Emphasis was put on personal care and stiving for healthiness. Strict proceedures were in place to prevent alcohol/drugs from being secretly brought in.

First and foremost you will most likely be instrumental in locating the right place and right program for a loved one or friend. Too often they are not capable of doing the research themselves. They are only able to consent to wanting help. Take your time researching seeking out the right program for the need and of course the affordability of the person paying.
