We paid $5000 for one month of drug treatment for our daughter. She'd had a problem with cocaine for about 2 years. It was a live in facility.
Review of Service
Our daughter, sadly, got completely out of control. My husband, a few friends of hers and some family members found a live in voluntary facility to check her into. We talked to one of the counselor's there and set up an intervention. She agreed to check herself into the center. She was only there for about 6 days before she checked herself out. Of course we were still responsible for the entire months fee. I think the center was great. The counselor was very good when she met with us and seemed genuinely care about our daughter and her recovery. The place had good reviews and seemed to be very professionally run.
Tips
As much as it hurts, you can't make someone get help if they don't want it. Don't do what we did, don't basically force someone into rehab. You are wasting your time, energy and money. If someone comes and asks for help like this, try to find a place that will bill by the week. This seems pessimistic but it's really just realistic.
