Description of service
When my then 4 year old daughter asked for ballet lessons I was excited. The only problem is that I had reservations because of the prices I had seen in flyers that had been coming to the house offering ballet lessons. I decided to shop around in hopes that I would find something more affordable. Seeing as though she was 4 and I didn't really know if this was more than a passing phase I decided to start small. I found a community offering of ballet classes for 3-4 year olds that lasted 7 weeks and cost $65.
Review of Service
The service received was excellent! My daughter attended classes once a week (Saturday, 9:00-9:30), and loved every minute of it. After learning for 6 weeks the children put on a recital for their families. The best part of the recital was when each child did her "solo" performance. This is when I knew I had gotten my money's worth and then some. Every move the teacher showed the children they performed. It was a very proud and priceless moment for me.
Tips
Bigger is not always better. I considered putting my daughter in one of the more well known dance schools because I wanted her to have what I thought was the best. After looking t prices and realizing that this may only be a momentary desire she had to attend ballet classes, I decided to save the money. I am very glad I did. Another thing is don't just throw away community mailers without perusing them, there may be some activity that you are really interested in that will save you a lot of money as someone who lives in the community.
