Description of service
My daughter was 3 years old when we started her in the dancing class. The class was taught by a teacher from a well established dancing school for children in Houston, Texas. The lesson is at pre-ballet level. It is a group lesson, consisting of 4 - 5 kids. It was once a week, 1 hour each section. The price I paid was for classes from September to May the following year.
Review of Service
The teacher is very serious about teaching and dancing. She has a set of rules for her class and demands kids to pay attention. She usually demonstrates a movement and then asks each kid to follow her individually and as a group. Each kid is given a T-shirt with the school logo on it. At the end of the year, she organizes a dancing performance with the kids. She also offers make up classes.
Tips
My daughter has been in the class since last September. When she just started, I felt that she was too young to appreciate the class in the sense of what it was really for. In other words, to her, it was just a time she and her friends could be together, swing their arms and legs, twirl around and have fun. But in the last couple of months, I felt she started to like dancing itself. Sometimes when I asked her what she did in the class, she would show me how to walk around on tippy toes and twirl around and she was very proud. She also started to taking in the idea of wearing a ballerina dress in her class. And she looks so cute in those dresses that I just didn't have the heart to deny her.
