Description of service
My 8-year-old daughter took ballet lessons from a local dance studio and her class was limited to 10 beginning students. The price was $30 per session and each class lasted from an hour to 1.5 hours. The beginning "course" was 10 sessions total and prepared the kids to move to the intermediate level if they wanted to continue with the program.
Review of Service
The studio was suggested to us by one of my daughter's friends who was gong to take the class and we visited it and then signed up. We were very pleased with the instructor, who had some professional dance experience as well as 15 years of teaching experience, and my daughter really enjoyed learning about something new and developing her ability to dance. I sat in on some of the classes and the teacher was patient and encouraging with the s, and taught them a lot of the steps and dance positions that they were interested in. The cost of the service was reasonable and fair because the class size was limited and each received some individual instruction as well.
Tips
Be sure to visit the facility before you sign up for any classes, and don't sign up for a lengthy contract term until you are sure that your child will stick with it. Lots of kids lose their interest after a few sessions, so limiting the commitment to 10 classes or so is a good idea.
