The oven that I use is unfortunately twenty years old and the heating mechanism broke down and needed to be fixed. I received an estimate from the repairmen for about $250.00 and unfortunately I had no other option but to pay this fee. After about a week, the repairmen received the part for the oven and installed it within a couple of hours. After he had finished, he stated that it was less labor than needed and brought down the bill to two hundred dollars.
Review of Service
To this day, I have had no problems with the oven and the heating mechanism has not malfunctioned in any way. I would say that if your looking to either buy a new oven or get your old one fixed, it would be a better financial decision to get the older oven fixed because the cost in ovens has gone up drastically in the last ten years.
Tips
Some tips that I would suggest is that if your going to get your oven fixed, it would be wise to shop around for different estimates and not automatically settle on the first price that a repairmen gives you. Also, don't spend more than half of what you paid on a stove to fix it. Just purchase another one.
