Description of service
I recently got acrylic nails. I called to make an appointment and then a few days later went in to get the nails put on. The total application took about a half hour 45 minutes if you count drying time. I had them done at a nail salon so the staff seemed to be rushing to get to the increasing line at the front door. To get the nails put on and painted a regular color was $27 dollars but I wanted a French manicure so that was an additional $5.
Review of Service
It was typical nail salon service. People are rushing around and it never seems that they are focused on what they are doing. They were taking calls, talking to each other, starting perdicure baths, and etc all throughout my manicure. It isn't necessarily a pampering session but rather is a get in, get painted, get out experience. However, nail salons tend to be cheaper than spas so it just depends on the type of experience you are hoping for. I ended up not liking the fake nails and took them off soon after by soaking them in nail polish for extended periods of time. It took a while for my nails to get healthy again. If you have strong nails I wouldn't recommend acrylic because they are damaging to your natural finger nails.
Tips
I wish I would have know how damaging these nails can be to your finger nails. They would be great for someone with brittle nails. I did it for a specific event but probably wouldn't do it again given how dry and brittle it made my natural nails.
