the Cost of Acrylic Nails

I received a full set of acrylic nails with tips. For $5.00 more I also got a french manicure. Included in the price was one design on each ring finger.

My nails did end up looking great, however the customer service wasn't so good. Several times she would apply way too much pressure to my nail bed with the drill she used to buff my natural nails causing me to jump slightly, then she would chastise me for moving, other than that she never once spoke directly to me. She only spoke with the other technicians in the salon in another language. I personally feel very uncomfortable when people do this while providing a service since you never know who or what they are talking about. I also find it to be very unprofessional.

Make sure the manicusrist is using only sterilyzed tools on you. I once got a nasty infection from a nail salon and will never go back to that particular one. Also if it hurts when they are buffing your natuaral nail to prepare for the acrylics, tell them, and keep telling them. If they don't stop then stop them and leave. If they buff your nails too thin then you will also end up with an infection, or worse yet you could lose your natural nail! Although I say my nails look great, they are extremely sore. I don't think they are going to get infected but if she had buffed any more nail off I'm sure they would have. Don't be afraid to speak up when it hurts.
