the Cost of Online Advertising

A close friend of mine owns a small business in t-shirt designing. He was not really getting too many hits on his site before, and his business was not doing so well. So he decided to try out advertising. You might think that most of us are immune to advertisements already. We just look at the content and don't even notice the ads. Well, that's false. Ever since my friend got that advertising service, he has been getting much more business.

He ended up paying around $200 in advertising for a month. Turns out to be around $2 an "effective click", meaning somebody buys a shirt, however it is totally worth it. The shirts are around $10-$15 each. He gained nearly $1300 just from that advertising service, in one month. Not bad huh? Spend $200, gain $1300? I think it is an extremely effective service.

Also the advertising service he used offered very detailed stats, such as tracking visitors, countries, etc. It really helps out knowing where you customers are from. You can specify your ad in almost any form, a 200x200 square, a 200x700 skyscraper, you name it!

My friend's business it doing even better now, generating nearly $3000 every month. All thanks to advertisements!!!
