This service was for online classified advertising. The service included 30 day 30 word placement with hyperlink on a popular online newspaper advertising agency site in their online classifieds section.
Review of Service
I liked this service because of the price. It is a good way to get the url of my site indexed in the search engines. Basically the ad did better in the first few days because it was placed near the top in the beginning. They place all new ads in the top of the category then it rotates downward as new ads are placed. By the end of the month, my ad was so far down that no one could see it. However, I still believe that for the price this is a good way to get inexpensive publicity to my site and boost search rankings.
Tips
A good tip to remember is that if you are starting out on a tight budget, only advertise the minimum amount of advertising packages or deals that websites offering online classified ads usually offer. It is very disappointing to pay huge sums of money first only to find out later that the advertising was worthless. Try spending only a few dollars first, then increase your spending with the company only after you are satisfied with the results.
