Description of service
I took a a belly dance class for beginners. It was once a week for two months (a total of 8 lessons). The fee for the class was $68 for residence of Sunnyvale and $84 for non-residence. The lessons "required" the use of finger cymbals and a vale which needed to be purchased on your own (though you can get through a session without them).
Review of Service
It was an excellent class. The teacher was knowledgeable about belly dancing and was able to convey instructions very well both visually and verbally. The instructor also spent a fair bit of time teaching the class as a whole as well as spending time one on one to make sure you were getting the moves down. The class was also structured in a manner such that if you missed a class, the material was repeated and you could easily catch up.
I feel that the classes are definitely worth the price. The only downside is that you pay for all 8 classes at once, so if you miss a class, you don't get the price of that class refunded. But in my opinion you can actually miss a class or two and still get your moneys worth.
Tips
Look around for different classes as I've found they can range a lot in price. Also, some classes allow you to pay-per-class while this one is pay for a whole session at a time, so make sure that the lessons you choose work with your schedule. E.I. If you know your only going to be able to make it once a month, make sure the class you sign up for is pay-as-you-go, but if you know you are likely to make every class, then paying for a whole session at a time can really save you some cash.
