the Price of Digital Cable TV with DVR

Price includes your basic channels, sixty digital cable channels, 15 high definition channels, two receiving boxes, and one high definition Digital Video Recorder. The digital video recorder is capable of recording two shows at the same time, but you will not be able to watch anything else if you are recording two shows. If you are just recording one show, you are free to switch between the various channels on your service.

What gets you on the cable and DVR serivce is the installation. It is rather pricey to have it installed but that is usually a one time fee. We've had some minor problems with our cable going out but have always been compensated for those problems. Overall we are happy with the DVR service and the ability to record two programs in HD at the same time. It is very nice to be able to skip commercials and only watch the shows that you want to watch.

Most companies these days seem to offer some sort of discount or package deal when you combine your cable services with other services like phone or internet. It's best to once again shop around and find out your options. We found that DVR service was cheaper for us because we didn't have to buy the box. It is considered a rental service and you are charged a $100 service fee at the end that is refundable as soon as you return your box. Mainly you are just paying a monthly charge to use the box instead of buying the box and then being charged monthly for it.
