Description of service
The Capoeira classes fees covered the cost of instruction, cost of location and also all other applicable service taxes. It did not cover flexible attire which had to be purchased separately. The service fees included the total amount for 15 teaching classes, 2 practice events and 1 major final event. The service was based in a semiurban area of New York city.
Review of Service
I had first learned about the art form of Capoeira through a documentary on Discovery channel. Since then it had captured my interest. The place was very spacious and though relatively new there were in all about 16 students in my personal batch. However only 10 of them were beginners. The instructor had learned the art form in Rio de janeiro in Brazil and was well versed in it. The moves of the art form were difficult initially but with passage of time and increase in body flexibility it became the best workout one could ever have, not to mention the most visually appealing. The classes were scheduled twice in a week.
Tips
The art form of Capoeira's main advantage is that it combines martial arts, dance and music (mainly drums) in a wonderful synchronization which if executed well is awesome to watch. This Afro Brazilian dance form is relatively rare to be learned in separate classes, but in New York one can find all exotic learnings easily. It is physically challenging and no doubt the best aerobics exercise. The flexibility of the body, the moves and the confidence developed with that refreshen you to a new level. Just try it out if you can...
